Common Name: Oyster plant
 
Habit:  This soft wooded perennial has an upright habit reaching 1m high and 1m wide. The leaves are a glossy dark greeen, lobed and toothed. Acanthus is an eye catching structural element planted at the back of a border.
Flowers: In the late spring through until early summer this plant produces long spires of white flowers with purple bracts.  Acanthus is a vigorous self seeder so remove flower spikes as they finish.
Care: Plant in deep, moist soil and mulch well ensuring to never let the plant dry out.  In August remove any old leaves to promote more shoots.

طبيعة النبتة: يصل طولها وعرضها لمتر. يتميز ورقها بلونه الأخضر الداكن الامع وأطارفه الحادة.
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في نهاية فصل الربيع حتى بداية الصيف ويتيمز وردها بلونه الأبيض والبنفسجي.
العناية: تعرف بإنتشارها عن طريق بذورها لذلك يجب إزالة الورد الميت مباشرة.
