Common Name: Lily of the nile
 
Habit: Agapanthus produce long strappy leaves in clumps which can be divided as they get bigger. They can grow to over a meter tall and as wide so make sure you give them space.
Flowers:  This summer blooming plant forms clusters of purple or white flowers on the ends of tall stalks which can get up to over a meter high. Flowers will fail to form in a shaded position so give them lots of sun.
Care: Agapanthus is low maintenance, they do need extra water when it's very hot and do well with an application of manure or fertiliser in the spring.  Trim off dead flower heads to prevent the seeds forming, this way your agapanthus won't take over and you can control what colours you grow as the seeds can be either colour.
Divide plants every 2-3 years in early spring.

العناية: لاتحتاج إلى الكثير من العناية. ولكن قد تحتاج إلى الكثير من الماء في الأيام الحارة. إزالة الورد الميت قد يساعد على التحكم بحجم النبتة.
