Common Name: Lily of the nile
 
Habit: Agapanthus produce long strappy leaves in clumps which can be divided as they get bigger.They can grow to around 80cm and 50cm wide.
Flowers:  Blooming from late spring to mid-summer with spot flowering through until Autumn, expect a riot of purple/blue flowers on the ends of tall stalks which can get up to almost a meter high. Flowers will fail to form in a shaded position so give them lots of sun.
Care: Agapanthus is low maintenance, they do need extra water when it's very hot and do well with an application of manure or fertliser in the spring.  Trim off dead flower heads to prevent the seeds forming, this way your agapanthus won't take over and you can control what colours you grow as the seeds can be either colour.
Divide plants every 2-3 years in early spring.

طبيعة الزهرة: تبدأ بالإزهار من أخر فصل الربيع إلي منتصف فصل الصيف ويمكن أن تزهر حتى فصل الخريف ولكن بشكل أقل من المعتاد. تتميز زهرتها بلونها الأزرق المميز الذي ينمو على ساق طويلة.
العناية: تفضل المناطق المشمسة لأنها تساعدها على الإزهار وإذا زرعت في منطقة غير مشمسة لن تقوم بالإزهار.
