Common Name: Century Plant
 
Habit:  Agave has a spread of up to 3m with long grey/green leaves of 1.5m long ending in a heavy spike which can pierce deeply
Flowers: A tall branched stalk covered in yellow flowers appears at the end of the plants life, this stalk can reach up to 9m tall. Although this is the end of the parent plant, at the same time shoots form at the base beginning anew.
Care:  Century plants require full sun and sandy soil, they are very drought tolerant but do not cope with soggy conditions. Water during the growing season, in winter allow the soil to dry out almost completely.

العناية: تفضل المناطق المشمسة والتربة الرملية وتتحمل الجفاف.
