Common Name: Josephs coat.
 
Habit:  A compact, spreading ground cover the leaves on this plant are a bright golden colour. Josephs coat grows up to a height of 30cm and can spread out to 90cm wide.
Flowers: In the spring clusters of star shaped white or creamy flowers appear, however they are not a feature.
Care: Alternanthera grows fine in containers or in the garden. Plant in full sun or part shade, it can tolerate heat although in areas of heavy frost it will require some shelter. In the garden, it can be drought tolerant. Place in a moist well drained soil and mulch well, water as required until the plant is established and add a slow release fertiliser in the spring. Pinch out new growth to promote a more bushy plant.

العناية: يمكن زراعتها في الحديقة أو في أحواض. تفضل أن تزرع في منطقة تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس أو بعض الظل. يمكن أن تتحمل درجات الحرارة العالية. تفضل المناطق المحمية إذا زرعت في مناطق تتعرض لإنخفاض عالي في درجات الحرارة.
