Common Name: Dill
 
Habit: A native of the Mediterranean, Dill is an annual herb with a clumping habit growing up to 60cm tall. The leaves are grey-green and are very fine, soft and divided on hollow stems. 
The leaves are used to flavour fish recipes and in salads.
Flowers: In the summer Dill produces scented blooms in yellow clumped into large flat heads. 
Care: Keep in full sun, as this herb has a tendency to fall over if placed into too much shade. Choose a fertile well drained soil and mulch for water retention as too dry a soil will send the plant to seed. Protect from strong winds in either a location sheltered from wind or in a garden surrounded by other plants.
