Common Name: Anthurium
 
Habit: A cluster of short upright stems each bearing a large lance shaped green leaf held upright on a stiff stem.
Flowers:  Blooms are usually red and take the form of a large flat shield shaped spathe surrounding a spike covered in tiny flowers. In order to flower they need prolonged warmth.
Care: Anthurium plants need bright indirect light as direct sunlight will burn the leaves, too little light will
completely intolerant to frost. Choose a free draining soil which holds some water, ensure regular watering when the soil is dry to the touch.
