Common Name: Apple
 
Habit: Apples have their beginnings in central Asia, these deciduous trees can be large but generally reach about 5 meters tall. 
Flowers:  In spring a show of pink blossoms appear on the branches followed by the fruit.
Care: Apple trees can tolerate extreme cold temperatures and in fact need a period of cold to fruit well. Choose a sunny site away from strong winds, apples grow best at low altitudes where pollinators can reach them. Apples prefer a rich, well drained loam taking care that they do not become waterlogged or too dry.  Once established they only need a little slow release fertiliser in spring and some additional watering in the summer along with mulching.

العناية: تعرف بتحملها لدرجات الحرارة المنخفضة جدا. عند زراعتها تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض لأشعة الشمس والمحمية من الرياح القوية.
