Common Name:  Heartleaf
 
Habit: Native to South Africa, this perennial succulent has heart shaped, mid-green textured leaves. Growing from a woody base this groundcover grows in flat clumps up to 25 cm. It is excellent as a groundcover, in rockeries or trailing over walls.
Flowers: Blooms appear all year, they are magenta pink with many thin petals. Flowers open during the day and close at night or when the weather is cloudy.
Care: Aptenia requires little extra care, it does very well in sandy soil and care must be taken to not overwater.

طبيعة النبتة: تتميز أوراقها بلمعانها وشكلها الشبيه بشكل القلب. يمكن إستخدامها كغطاء أرضي. مناسبة للزراعة بين الصخور.
طبيعة الزهرة: تظهر زهورها خلال السنة وتتميز بلونها الإرجواني.
العناية: تحتاج إلى القليل من العناية ويمكن أن تنمو في التربة الرملية.
