Common Name:  Milkweed
 
Habit:  A perennial evergreen shrub growing up to 1 meter tall milkweed has a grey/green stem containing a milky sap. Leaves are narrow and pointed growing opposite on the stems.
Flowers:  Occuring almost all year round, the red and yellow blooms are tiny, appearing in clusters of 10- 20 on a flower head. 
Care: Locate in full sun or part shade choosing a soil that is weakly acidic to weakly alkaline. It is frost sensitive so choose a protected spot and water moderately.

طبيعة النبتة: دائمة الإخضرار. قد يصل طولها لمتر. تتميز سيقانها بلونهم المازج للون الأخضر والفضي. 
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر تقريبا كل سنة. تعرف زهورها الحمراء والصفراء بحجمها الصغير.
العناية: تفضل الأماكن التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس أو القليل من الظل. لا تتحمل الإنجماد لذلك من الأفضل زرعها في المناطق المحمية.
