Common Name: Foxtail Fern
 
Habit:  Native to South Africa the foxtail fern and makes an excellent indoor plant growing to just over a meter wide. The plant is made up of fluffy looking spears of tiny prickly leaves in a bright green colour which grow from the base.
Flowers: In late summer until autumn the plant produces tiny white flowers amongst the leaves which are Bee attracting. These blooms transform into tiny red berries which the birds love.
Care: Foxtail is drought tolerant and easy to care for, although it does better if kept watered during summer. Pruning is limited to removing dead or damaged foliage. Locate in bright, indirect light away from direct sun. Soil needs to be rich, light and well draining, use a good quality potting mix and add peat moss.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في نهاية فصل الصيف حتى فصل الخريف ورودا بيضاء صغيرة تعتبر جاذبة للنحل. تتحول الورود إلى حبوب صغيرة جاذبة للطيور.
العناية: تعتبر من النباتات سهلة العناية والتي تتحمل الجفاف. تفضل الكثير من الضوء ولكن لا تفضل أشعة الشمس المباشرة.
