Common Name: Cast Iron Plant
 
Habit: Native to Japan and Taiwan, the Aspidistra is a perennial with long, glossy, dark green leaves. It is bushy, reaching up to 60cm tall and as wide. 
Flowers: In early summer cream flowers may appear, each with 8 lobes and a purple colour on the inside.
Care:  Use a well draining soil, in the growing months the plant needs plenty of water but less during the winter or if it's location has limited light. Fertilise with a weak solution every couple of months during the growing season.

طبيعة النبتة: كثيفة الأوراق. قد يصل طولها وعرضها ل60سم. تتميز الأوراق بحجمها الكبير ولمعانها ولونها الأخضر الداكن.
طبيعة الزهرة: قد تزهر في بداية فصل الصيف ورودا بيضاء ذات منتصف بنفسجي.
العناية: تحتاج للكثير من الماء أثناء نموها ولكن يقل إحتياجها للماء في فصل الشتاء أو إذا زرعت في مكان لا يصله الكثير من الضوء.
