Common Name: Bamboo
 
Habit: Loose, dense clumps of strongly erect stems reaching up to 24 meters tall. The stems are hollow in between the leaf nodes which is where the small sprays of narrow leaves appear. Bamboo makes an excellent screen or informal hedge plant.
Flowers: At irregular intervals inconspicuous feather flowerheads can appear.
Care: Bamboo grows best and fastest in full sun. Choose a slightly acidic soil, well draining and fertile.  If possible give new plants some shade for the first two weeks of growth and water weekly until the plant is established at which stage you can only water as needed depending on rainfall.

طبيعة النبتة: تشتهر بطولها الذي قد يصل ل24م حيث تستخدم كحاجز.
طبيعة الزهرة: لا تشكل الزهور جزء مهم حيث يتم زراعة النبتة لسيقانها الطويلة.
العناية: تفضل أن تزرع في مناطق مشمسة ولكن لا تمانع أن تكون في مناطق مظلة في الأسابيع الأولى من نموها.
