Common Name: Bird of Paradise
 
Habit: Native to Argentinia and Uruguay this tree reaches up to 3 meters tall and 2 meters wide. It has a slender trunk and an open form with the foliage made up of small leaflets creating a feathery appearance.
Flowers: In the spring yellow blooms appear with long red stamens followed by 12cm long seed pods. The flowers are butterfly attracting. 
Care: Soil needs to be well drained, this tree grows fine in rocky areas. Plant in full sun and water moderately during summer and sparingly in winter. Use a balanced fertiliser monthly and prune in spring to remove dead or damaged foliage or to remove the seed pods before they fall and make a mess.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في فصل الربيع زهورا صفراء تتزين بشعيرات حمراء. تعرف زهورها بجذبها للفراشات.
العناية: لا تمانع أن تزرع في المناطق الصخرية. تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس. يفضل تقليمها في فصل الربيع.
