Common Name: Golden Medallion tree
 
Habit:  Native to Panama this small tree reaches has arching branches and reaches up to 3 meters high. The light green leaves appear as pairs of small leaflets along a central stem reaching up to 60 cm long. 
Flowers: Cassia plants need full sun in order to flower, in the summer it produces large pendulous sprays of golden flowers cascading down from the branches. The flowers are bird and bee attracting.
Care: Cassia will grow in any neutral soil and while they do like water a well drained soil is required. Leave a trough around the tree to collect water and irrigate regularly until established. Young trees need to be staked when young and pruned in order to encourage a fuller adult tree.
They are not a cold climate plant rarely surviving temperatures below -1 deg.C

طبيعة الزهرة: تحتاج للكثير من أشعة الشمس لأن ذلك يساعدها على الإزهار بشكل أفضل. تزهر في فصل الصيف ورودا جذابة تتميز بلونها الذهبي الخلاب.
العناية: تفضل أن تتجمع التربة حولها على شكل حوض لسماح للماء في التجمع. لا تتحمل درجات الحرارة المنخفضة.
