Common Name: Deodar Cedar
 
Habit: A native to the Himalayas, this large coniferous tree can reach heights of 20 meters in the home garden. It forms a pyramid shape with level branches and a drooping habit, it is perfect for large gardens and parks. The foliage is 60cm long yellow or grey-green needles in clusters.
Flowers:  Blooms are soft yellow fingers, male and female can be found on the same plant along with the cones which are reddish brown.
Care: Well drained acidic soil is required for this tree to grow well and a full sun location. Drought tolerant once well established and can withstand temperatures down to -25deg C.

طبيعة النبتة: تعرف بحجمها الكبير حيث يبلغ طولها ل20م. تنمو بشكل هرمي وتعتبر من أنسب النباتات للزراعة في الحدائق والمنتزهات. تتميز أوراقها بلونها الفضي المائل للأخضر.
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر ورودا صفراء بيضاوية.
العناية: تتحمل الجفاف وتفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس.
