Common Name: Leadwort
 
Habit: Native to western China, the plumbago is a mat forming perennial growing up to almost 1 meter tall. Leaves are oval, shiny and medium green turning bronze in the Autumn.
Flowers: In late summer and autumn through until frost spikes of blue flowers appear. 
Care: Soil should be moderately fertile and well drained, mulch in winter for protection from frosts. Locate in full sun with some afternoon shade in particularly hot areas.  Prune back any frost damaged shoots to ground level.
Garden Use:  Cottage and Japanese Gardens, Speciment plant.

طبيعة النبتة: قد يصل طولها لمتر. تعرف أوراقها بشكلها البيضوي ولونها الأخضر الامع. 
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في فصل الصيف وفصل الخريف لغاية أول إنجماد ورودا زرقاء.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس وبعض الظل. 
إستخداماتها في الحديقة: في الحدائق اليابانية والمنزلية.
