Common Name:  Red Cabbage Tree
 
Habit: Cordyline is a New Zealand shrub that grows up to 9m tall. With a stout trunk and sword-like leaves in variegated red and purple, aging to silver.  The trunk is tall and straight with a rounded head. After first flowering the trunk will divide into a multi-branched crown with tufts of leaves at the ends.
Flowers:  The first flowers will appear after around 6 years and are sweetly scented on dense panicles of creamy white flowers appearing in Spring.
Care: In the garden place in a protected position in full sun or a little part shade.  Allow to dry out between watering. Cordyline will grow in any type of soil provided it is well draining. Remove dead leaves to keep tidy.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر بعد 6 سنوات من زراعتها سنابل ذات رائحة عبقة تتميز باللون الأبيض وتظهر في فصل الربيع.
العناية: تفضل المناطق المحمية التي تتعرض للكثير من الشمس وبعض الظل. يمكن زراعتها في أي تربة.
