Common Name: Hopbush
 
Habit: Native to Africa and Australiasia the hopbush is a shrub reaching up to 3 meters tall. The generally oval shaped leaves produce a resin making them slightly sticky. Foliage is leathery, tough and alternate on the stem.
Flowers:  In spring and summer small inconspicuous flowers appear with no petals. The plant has either male or female flower with only very rarely having both.
Care:  Any soil will do provided it is well drained. Locate in a well lit area, it can handle some shade but does best with plenty of sun, it can handle some light frost.  Tip prune to maintain shape and keep the plant tidy.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في فصل الصيف ورودا صغيرة تعتبر غير مهمة.
العناية: يمكن زراعتها في أي نوع تربة. تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من الضوء ويمكن أن تنمو في المناطق التي تتعرض للقليل من الظل. يمكنها تحمل الإنجماد البسيط. يجب تقليم أطرافها للمحافظة على شكلها.
