Common Name: Blanket Flower
 
Habit: Stems are usually erect and branching reaching up to 80cm, they make excellent container plants or on borders. Forming a slowly spreading mound, the leaves are lance shaped and sometimes lobed.
Flowers: Blooms are richly coloured yellow and red daisy-like flowers up to 12cm across on individual stems. Deadhead to improve flowering and prevent self seeding unless that is your intent.
Care: Gaillardia is not particular about the type of soil provided it is not clay and is well draining, in fact they seem to do better in poor soil. Plant after all frost has ended and keep watered until you see active growth then ease up and allow them to acclimatise, once established they are drought tolerant.
Full sun is fine but some afternoon shade in very hot locations can be beneficial.

العناية: تفضل التربة الفقيرة وتفضل أن تزرع بعد إنتهاء فترة التجمد. بعد نموها تعتبر من النباتات القادرة على تحمل الجفاف. تفضل المناطق المشمسة ولكن تفضل بعضا من الظل في المناطق شديدة الحرارة.
