Common Name: Daylily
 
Habit: From temperate east Asia the daylily forms a clump of grass with strappy leaves reaching up to 150cm tall.
Flowers: As the name suggests each flower only lasts one day but many are produced in succession making for a long blooming period from Spring through to Autumn. Flowers are funnel shaped having 6 petals and come in warm apricot, yellow and red.
Care: Plant into fertile, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. When considering a location remember that the flower heads will turn to face the sun during the day.  Daylilies are heat and drought tolerant which makes then excellent in rockeries and dry zones.

طبيعة النبتة: تعرف بتميز أوراقها التي قد يصل طولها ل150سم.
طبيعة الزهرة: تعرف ورودها بأنها تدوم ليوم واحد ولكن تستمر النبتة بالإزهار من فصل الربيع لفصل الخريف. تتميز الورود بألوانها الدافئة كالبرتقالي والأصفر والأحمر.
العناية: تزرع في المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس أو بعضا من الظل. عند زراعتها في مكان ما يجب الأخذ بعين الأعتبار أن الورود ستتوجه لشمس. تعرف بتحملها للجفاف.
