Common Name: Hippeastrum
 
Habit: The leaves on this bulb develop after flowering and grow directly from the base of the plant. They are up to 90cm long and strappy.
Flowers:  Blooms are funnel shaped and grow up on spikes sometimes 3 to a spike in a wide variety of colours. They can tolerate dry winds, heavy rain, hot sun and rapidly rising temperatures.
Care: Plant into well prepared soil that drains well and is rich in compost. Ensure to only water from the top and do not let the bulb sit in water and at the time of planting add in a little slow release fertiliser.  Full sun is best for flowering and a little seaweed fertiliser once a week, water less during winter.

طبيعة النبتة: تنمو الأوراق بعد نمو الورود. قد يصل طول أوراقها ل90سم. تعتبر من النباتات المناسبة لزراعة داخل المنزل.
طبيعة الزهرة: تتميز الوردة بشكلها المخروطي. قد تنمو أكثر من وردة على ساق واحدة. تعرف بتنوع ألوانها وتحملها للرياح والمطر الشديد.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من الشمس لأن ذلك يساعدها على الإزهار. لا تفضل الكثير من الماء.
