Common Name:  Variegated Holly
 
Habit:  This striking evergreen shrub grows up to 10m high and 7m wide.  Leaves are spiny and dark green edged with a white variegation; new growth has a pink tint.
Flowers: In the spring female plants form white flowers on the leaf axis appearing on the previous year’s growth. If a male plant is nearby small red berries form after the flowers, if the birds don't take them they persist into winter.
Care:  Holly likes well drained fertile soil and full to partial sun. Once mature they can tolerate summer heat and drought.

طبيعة النبتة: يصل طولها حوالي 7م وتعرف بأنها دائمة الخضرة. تتميز أوراقها بلونها الأخضر الغامق وأطرافها الصفراء الشائكة.
طبيعة الزهرة: في الربيع تزهر بعض منها ورودا بيضاء.
العناية: تحب الشمس وتفض المناطق المشمسة ولكن تنمو في المناطق التي تتعرض للقليل من الظل.
