Common Name: Malabar Nut
 
Habit:   This very fast growing architectural shrub would be excellent at the back of a border. It's evergreen habit and attractive shiny leaves make quite a statement. 
Flowers:  Two lipped blooms appear in late winter and spring on spikes, these flowers are white with purple netting on the lower lip.
Care: Malabar Nut should be planted into a shade/part-shade location, is drought tolerant and when planting use plenty of organic matter in your soil. After flowering use an all purpose fertiliser and prune back hard.
