Common Name: Honeysuckle
 
Habit:  A climber native to eastern Asia can reach heights of 10m or more, the green leaves are oval in shape and grow in pairs opposite each other on the vine.
Flowers: Honeysuckle flowers in fragrant, tubular pairs beginning white and turning yellow with age. They are profuse in spring continuing into summer.
Care: Honeysuckle plants are very easy to grow, they are heat tolerant and almost indestructible.  Being a vine they are generally grown on some form of trellis, however they can also work well as a ground cover or as erosion control. Plant in full sun if possible but they will cope with a little shade, mulch well at the time of planting and water moderately unless conditions are very dry.  A light application of fertiliser at the beginning of the growing season would also be helpful.
