Common Name:  Ice Plant, Fig Marigold
 
Habit: This succulent groundcover with its fleshy leaves grows to between 10 and 30cm high and around 60cm wide although in very dry conditions it can take over and become invasive.
Flowers:  Ice Plants are a succulent which has daisy like flowers in a variety of bright colours which are more likely to open in full sun. They have a long habit spilling over walls and hanging baskets to create a lovely falling display.
Care:  Once established they require little care although it is best to note they are not frost tolerant and do not cope well in prolonged damp. They do however love full sun, grow well in sandy, poor soil and rocky conditions They will require a little watering during prolonged dry spells and feeding after flowering.
Propagate with cuttings in the spring time.
