Common Name: Zebra grass
 
Habit: This distinctive variegated grass has soft yellow stripes along its graceful length of arching leaves. The foliage turns a rich gold in Autumn before turning tan in the winter.  A lovely specimen plant this grass can reach up to 2m tall and almost 2m wide so give it plenty of space.
Flowers: In late summer or early autumn it produces spectacular pink/copper blooms which turn silvery with time.
Care: Zebra grass likes full sun and moderately fertile, well drained soil, make sure it doesn't become waterlogged. In the wintertime cut right back to the ground in the wintertime before new shoots appear.

طبيعة النبتة: يتميز هذا العشب بورقه الموشح باللون الأصفر على شكل خطوط. يتحول لون الورق للون الذهبي في فصل الخريق وإلى اللون البني في فصل الشتاء. قد يصل طولها وعرضها ل2م. 
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في أخر فصل الصيف أو بداية فصل الخريف وتظهر زهورا وردية نحاسية خلابة تتحول للون الفضي مع مرور الوقت.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من الشمس. من الأفضل قص الجزء الخارجي من النبتة قبل ظهور النمو الجديد لها.
