Common Name: Sweet Myrtle
 
Habit: An evergreen compact Myrtle growing 1.5m x 1m. The narrow, oval leaves are dark green and leathery.
Flowers: In summer Myrtle produces a profusion of creamy white, fragrant flowers. They have numerous stamens which gives them a fuzzy appearance. 
Leaves and flowers are also edible though this plant has a very strong flavour and should be used sparingly when testing it out, leaves are often used similar to Bay and left in food just long enough to flavour it.
Care: This shrub makes a good container plant and does well as topiary. Plant in part shade or full sun but ensure its water needs are met. Choose any type of soil provided it is well drained, prune as needed.

طبيعة النبتة: دائمة الإخضرار. يصل طولها ل1.50م وعرضها لمتر. يتميز ورقها بشكلها الدائري ولونه الغامق.
طبيعة الزهرة: في فصل الصيف تظهر ورودا ذات لون كريمي ورائحة جميلة.
العناية: تنمو في شكل جيد في الأحواض الصغيرة. تفضل المناطق المشمسة أو المناطق التي تحصل على بعض الظل. لا تحب الجفاف.
