Common Name: Orange
 
Habit: Oranges are a perennial tree with a rounded habit reaching up to 10m tall. leaves are a dark glossy green.
Flowers: The blooms on oranges are small, white and highly fragrant, the fruit takes a long time to mature so is on the tree most of the year, it is ready when the skin is orange. 
Care: Newly planted trees need to be watered once or twice a week, mature trees every week or two depending on weather and climate. Hot weather and sandy soils require more watering, wet soggy soil will kill the tree.  Fertilise with a citrus fertiliser according to directions and prune to remove dead branches, it also helps to remove excess in the centre of the tree which allows extra air flow and a healthier crop.

طبيعة الزهرة: تتميز زهورها البيضاء الصغيرة برائحتها الفواحة. يعرف ثمرها بأنه ينضج بعد فترة طويلة ويعتبر جاهزا للقطف بعد أن يتحول القشر للون البرتقالي.
العناية: تفضل الشجرة المزروعة حديثا أن تسقى مرتين بالأسبوع. إزالة الأغصان الميتة يساعد على نموها.
