Common Name:  African Daisy
 
Habit: African Daisies grow from 30 to 60cm high and between half to a meter wide. The stems and leaves are covered in fine downy hairs giving the plant a slightly silvery look. Leaf shape varies with each variety from lance shaped to ovate and toothed or lobed.
Flowers: During warmer weather, they are covered in a mass of daisy shaped flowers that come in many colours from white, yellow and orange to pink, purple and red. Blooms tend to close when the light dims and of course trimming dead flowers along the way will encourage even more colour.
Care: Flowers require full sun to open although in very hot weather they do like a little shade and the plant prefers well drained sandy soil. They grow well in containers which would allow them to be brought indoors during very cold weather as they can only tolerate light frost.
Ensure plenty of space for them to spread and water during the growing season.

طبيعة النبتة: قد يصل طول النبتة ل60سم. تغطي الأوراق بعض الشعيرات الصغيرة التي تضفي اللون الفضي على الأوراق.
طبيعة الزهرة: عند ارتفاع درجات الحرارة تقوم بإزهار أجمل الورود التي تتميز بعدة ألوانها وتميزها. تغلق الورود عند عدم حصولها على القدر الكافي من الضوء.
العناية: تحب الكثير من أشعة الشمس لأن ذلك يساعد ورودها على التفتح ولكنها لا تمانع القليل من الظل.
