Common Name: Pear
 
Habit: The pear is a medium sized deciduous tree reaching up to 17m tall.  The leaves are alternate, green and up to 12cm long. 
Flowers:  The white flowers are up to 4cm across with 5 petals. Fruit is smaller at the stalk end and bulbous at the opposite.
Care: Choose a location that will give the tree at least 6 hours of full sunlight. Dig a large hole and ensure plenty of compost into the soil plant the same depth as the tree was in the container. Pruning is important, leave a central branch and 4 or so outward (not upward) facing branches and prune the rest, trim the ends to encourage growth. Stake the young plant to encourage straight growth and fertilise once a year only.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر ورودا بيضاء تتحول إلي ثمار الجزء العلوي منها أصغر من الجزء السفلي.
العناية: تحتاج للكثير من أشعة الشمس. قص الأطراف من الأغصان يساعد على ترتيبها ونموها.
