Common Name: New Zeland Flax
 
Habit: This compact growing flax has striking coppery coloured foliage and gently arching leaves reaching up to 1m tall and wide.
Flowers: In the summer bronze-red flower spikes are produced.
Care: Plant in full sun or part shade, try to avoid the plant being out in hot afternoon sun. Ensure soil is free draining, apply mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until established.  Once established it is easy to care for, flax is drought and frost tolerant so simply remove dead leaves and apply a slow release fertiliser once a year.

طبيعة النبتة: تعرف بشكل أوراقها الذي يشبه العشب ولكن يتميز بلونه النحاسي. قد يصل طولها وعرضها لمتر. 
طبيعة الزهرة: تظهر في في فصل الصيف زهورا حمراء أو سوداء.
العناية: تعتبر من النباتات ذات القدرة العالية على تحمل الظروف المتغيرة. تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للعديد من اّشعة الشمس أو القليل من الظل. مقاومة للجفاف والتجمد.
