Common Name: Plum
 
Habit: A medium size tree reaching 6m tall, plums have reddish brown bark which is smooth in young trees and furrowed when they age. Leaves are usually up to 10cm long, can be smooth or serrated and green turning yellow, orange and purple in the Autumn.
Flowers: In spring miniature white flowers appear, fruit set is usually finished by early summer at which time they need to be thinned out to improve fruit size and reduce weight on the tree.
Care: Plant in a protected area away from harsh winds, keep in mind that late frosts can also cause damage. Provide plenty of water for new trees and during dry times and mulch for water retention.

طبيعة النبتة:  تعتبر من الأشجار متوسطة الحجم حيث قد يصل طولها ل6م. يعرف لحائها بلونه الأحمر المائل للبني. تعرف أوراقها بلونها الأخضر الذي يتحول للون الأصفر والبرتقالي والبنفسجي في فصل الخريف. 
طبيعة الزهرة: تظهر ورود بيضاء صغيرة في فصل الربيع. عادة تنضج الثمار في بداية فصل الصيف.
العناية: يجب الزراعة في منطقة محمية من الرياح الشديدة. الأشجار المزروعة حديثا تفضل الكثير من الماء.
