Common Name: Pink trumpet vine
 
Habit: A native to Africa, the podranea is a vigorous, woody, evergreen climber which doesn't have tendrils. Leaves are a deep glossy green around 9cm long.
Flowers: Blooms appear on new growth at the tips of the branches in late summer. Flowers are pink with rose red veins and are followed by long narrow fruits.
Care: Plant in well drained soil, moderately fertile and use a slow release fertiliser every three months. Full sun is preferred although the vine will do fine with a little light shade. Water well until established and protect from all but a light frost. Prune after flowering.

طبيعة الزهرة: تظهر ورودها على أطراف الأغصان حديثة النمو في أخر فصل الصيف وتتميز باللون الوردي الذي يتزين بالعروق ذات اللون الأحمر المائل للون الوردي. 
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس ولكن لا تمانع القليل من الظل. من الأفضل تقليمها بعد إنتهاء موسم إزهارها.
