Common Name: Snake Plant or Mother-in-laws tongue
 
Habit: Native to tropical west Africa, the snake plant is a perennial plant made up of stiff leaves rising from a base rosette.  When mature leaves are a dark green with light grey crossbanding, some with a yellow border and can reach up to 90cm tall.
Flowers:  Slender stalks bear greenish white clusters of flowers appear in summer and autumn.
Care:  It prefers a good well draining soil both indoors and out although it can tolerate poor soil. Indoors it does fine in low light situations or in a bright area, outdoors it can also grow in full sun which makes it a very versatile plant. Take care to not overwater and lightly fertilise with a 20-20-20 fertiliser at half strength.

طبيعة النبتة: تتكون من أوراق ثابتة تنشأ من قلب النبتة. تتميز الأوراق بلونها الأخضر الغامق المزينة باللون الفضي والتي قد يصل طولها ل90سم.
طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر ورودا بيضاء تظهر في فصل الصيف والخريف.
العناية: تفضل المناطق المضيئة. يمكن زراعتها خارج المنزل في المناطق التي تتعرض لأشعة الشمس.
