Common Name: Dwarf Umbrella plant.
 
Habit: Native to Taiwan the dwarf umbrella plant can get up to 3 meters tall but is smaller grown indoors. The long oval shaped leaves grow on delicate stems, each group of 5-9 shiny leaves are arranged in a circular shape.
Flowers:  While this plant seldom flowers indoors, when it does long red spikes form at the top of the plant in the summer followed by round orange berries which turn black as they age.
Care: Locate where it will receive plenty of bright but indirect light as direct sunlight will burn the leaves and not enough light will cause the plant to become leggy.  Any type of potting soil is fine provided it drains well and retains moisture, allow the soil to almost completely dry out and then give a good soak ensuring good drainage. Trimming back leggy shoots to keep the plant bushy.
