Common Name: Silver Ragwort
 
Habit:  A Mediterranean area native, the Senecio is an evergreen shrub growing up to 1 meter tall.  The densely packed stems are woody at the base and covered in a white matted hair.  The leaves are lobed and covered in the same wooly type of hair as the stems giving it a silvery appearance. 
Flowers:  While the foliage is the real attraction, in Spring yellow flowers similar to daisies can appear to encourage bees to your garden. 
Care:  Soil can be any type but needs to be well drained, place in full sun with a little shade in very hot times of the day. Drought and heat tolerant, water regularly until established.  Too much fertiliser will make them leggy so a light application of slow release fertiliser in spring is all that is required and an application of mulch is beneficial.  Prune to keep the plant tidy and prevent it becoming leggy.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزرع لجمال أوراقها ولكنها تزهر ورودا صفراء جميلة في فصل الربيع.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس وبعض الظل. تعتبر من النباتات التي تتحمل الجفاف ودرجات الحرارة العالية.
