Common Name: Strawberries
 
Habit: Strawberries are ground hugging plants reaching only 15cm high and up to 1m across. Each clump sends out runners which become new plants.
Flowers: Simple 5 petaled blooms appear at the end of winter that are pollinated by bees. These white flowers are followed by succulent red fruit. 
Care: Before planting dig the soil over to remove weeds and large clods, mix through some good compost. Position plants in full sun and 30cm apart. Water well when young and during dry summers, surround with straw mulch to prevent the fruit spoiling by touching the soil.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر مجموعة من الورود البيضاء الصغيرة التي تظهر في نهاية فصل الشتاء وتتحول لثمار.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس.
