Common Name: Tayberry
 
Habit: This Scottish native is a blackberry and raspberry hybrid which is too delicate to survive shipping and selling commercially but a delight in the garden. The plant is prickly with a similar habit to Blackberry but is easier to contain.
Flowers: Flowers appear later in spring which reduces damage from late frosts, using a net to protect the fruit from birds is almost essential. The fruit has all the size of a large raspberry with the sweetness and juice of a blackberry. When picking the fruit it is best to leave a small piece of stem attached.
Care: Plant in well drained soil with good organic material, full sun is needed to ensure plenty of fruit. Every year apply a good mulch to protect the roots and add nutrients.

طبيعة الزهرة: تزهر في اّخر فصل الربيع. تتميز ثمارها بشكلها الذي يشبه التوت البري الكبير وطعمها القريب لطعم التوت الأسود.
العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس.
