Common Name: Cape Honeysuckle
 
Habit: Native to South Africa the cape honeysuckle is an erect scrambling shrub reaching up to 3 meters high and wide. The leaves are 15cm long bearing between 5 and 9 mid to dark green leaflets with serrated edges.  It is good for covering up walls or even as a hedge plant becoming untidy if not kept trimmed.
Flowers:  At different times of the year, 10-15cm long terminal clusters of blooms appear. Flowers are tubular, around 5cm long and are orange-red in colour.
Care: Plant into well drained loam with plenty of organic material. Locate in full sun to semi shade and water regularly especially in hot and dry conditions. Prune back in late winter to promote new growth and flowering followed by an application of a balanced fertiliser.

العناية: تفضل المناطق التي تتعرض للكثير من أشعة الشمس وبعض الظل. تفضل أن تسقى بشكل منتظم. يفضل تقليمها في اّخر فصل الشتاء لأن ذلك يساعدها على النمو بشكل أسرع.
