Common Name: Windmill Palm
 
Habit:  Native to the mountain areas of Asia this 6m tall, evergreen palm tree with a strong stem is topped with deeply divided leaves just over a meter wide.
Flowers: In early summer large arching sprays of small yellow flowers followed on the female plants by round bluish-black fruits.
Care:  Choose a full sun location or a little dappled shade in an area protected from strong winds and hard frosts. In very cold climates they can be grown indoors. Plant in fertile well drained soil, this palm can tolerate clay.
